Now originally the Twelve days of Christmas are the 12 days after Christmas, but traditionally they are the 12 days leading up to Christmas.
We chose to celebrate in the spirit of tradition rather than the historically correct version, since we like the idea of generating excitement and cheer leading up to the big day.
